My Messenger Bag!!

I made a messenger bag...took me two days, a lot of seam ripping, and a little frusration...ok, maybe a lot of frustration! But, the important thing is that I got through it!! Yippie.

Amy over at http://increasinglydomestic.blogspot.com/ made one for her daughter Brooklyn...and it turned out soooo cute that I said to myself "Self, you need to try that"...and self lisented!! Here's a picture of hers...

I got the tuturial from Larissa http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/06/basic-messenger-bag.html, who does a fab job and I'll have to try a more complex one at some point...but there is plenty of time for that!

I measured all my pieces correct - however when I cut the corners of the 'flap' - yeah...well, I cut the wrong end and didn't realize till I started to attach. I had to cut a little here and there and then re-sew. You live and learn eh? The important thing is that it still looks good and I am happy with the outcome!

Here are a few more pictures...

Over all - it was a good experience and I will def be making more of these bad boys!! :o)
